The saga continues.
Initially I used to get a bit worried as the weekend approached. I do tend to have a few social engagements during weekends like most people. Over time people have been kind to understand (or do not care!) what I am doing and no more forces me to stuff myself with the social food and drinks. I stick mostly to the salads and grilled stuff, and avoid all sweetened and aerated drinks. So you still attend the social dos and do not become a pariah, but just be a bit selective about what you nibble on.
Luckily I have not had any long outstation trips during this period; so that allows me greater control over my food and run. But after 17 days, I think I can well manage to continue doing this even if I have to be in a new city for a night or more.
